Know the limit of a trail repair
The JACO TRX-50 tire repair kit is a compact backup for an appropriate tread-area puncture, following the kit instructions. It is not a repair for a sidewall cut, damaged wheel, large injury or an unsafe tire. A roadside plug may be temporary; have a tire professional inspect and repair or replace the tire as appropriate before normal long-distance use. Do not work near traffic or beneath an unstable vehicle.

Check pressure separately
After any permitted repair, use an AstroAI digital tire-pressure gauge to compare the tire with the vehicle and tire maker’s pressure guidance. An VIAIR 88P portable compressor can restore pressure when its tire-size and duty-cycle limits fit your setup. Connect the air chuck to the valve stem on the wheel, never to the tire sidewall. Inspect for leaks and stop if pressure does not hold.
Practice before the trail
At home, identify the spare, jack points, lug tools and safe stopping procedure; do not wait for a flat to discover a missing piece. The kit is one layer in a plan that includes a usable spare and a way to ask for help. Our VIAIR trail-day kit explains the air-up routine, and the compressor comparison helps if the 88P is too small for your tires. A repair kit earns space when you understand its limits.
