Before Buying an Anker 737, Check the Devices You Want to Charge

A high-output power bank is useful only when the cable, ports, and travel routine can use it.

The Anker 737 Power Bank (PowerCore 24K) is a sensible candidate when a trip includes several USB devices or a compatible laptop. Anker lists two USB-C ports, one USB-A port and up to 140W total output. Those numbers describe capability, not the charging rate every device will receive. This buying guide does not publish a price or claim a live discount; use the seller page to check the exact current offer.

Start with the devices, then the cable

Write down the input requirements of the phone, camera or laptop you need to charge. Anker says reaching the headline 140W requires a compatible PD 3.1 device and cable. A USB-C connector alone does not prove that both support the same charging profile. When more than one device is connected, the available total is shared rather than multiplied across ports. That matters if you expect to charge a laptop and camera together at camp.

For a DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, confirm DJI’s charging requirements and use the appropriate cable. The camera will negotiate its own supported input, not consume the power bank’s maximum just because it is available. Try the exact combination at home and check that charging continues as expected. Our DJI trail-camera kit explains how power and recording fit together.

A power bank and a power station solve different jobs

If your load list includes equipment that needs an AC outlet, compare the Anker SOLIX C300 AC power station instead. It is a different product class, with different capacity, outputs and packing demands. Adding adapters to a USB battery does not turn it into a general-purpose AC station. Our portable-power comparison helps separate those needs before spending.

Include the recharge plan

A high-output bank is only useful on day two if you can refill it. Check which wall charger and cable are included in the exact package, how you will recharge during travel and where the bank can stay within the maker’s temperature limits. Keep connectors dry and avoid leaving it cooking on a sunny dashboard. The useful capacity at a connected device also differs from the cell-capacity number because power conversion uses energy.

The purchase check

Confirm the model number A1289, seller, condition, package contents and return terms. Compare the final delivered total on the day of purchase, not an old promotional screenshot. If your phone already finishes the trip comfortably with a smaller battery, this larger bank may add weight without solving a problem. Buy the 737 when its port mix and supported output meet a need you have actually identified.
